    Error shows unable to clean...

how am I going to clean the waist ink tank of my brother printer DCP-115C?
    Please help...

    Thanks guys.

Brother did tell me what the problem was, but i like the solutions on this site better than the idea of ringing for a repairman - why do brother make in-built difficulty like this? I have only had it a year! Will try replacing with something bought from "brother printer spare parts" internet shop. No more assistance needed yet!

Don't know if it does the job yet, but if you put 'LF7443001 picture' into google, the picture offered is interesting, and comes from a handy french fix-site, if your french or your translator is good enough!

Order/buy a new waistinktank (Ink Absorber Weld Assy Part No. LF7443001).

When you have it open printer (see pictures here how to do this):
    http://www.hstt.net/refill-faq/inside.ht...

Simply pull out the waistinktank and unclip the two tubes. Reinsert new one and fix the two tubes. Reassemble printer. You have to do a reset afterwards:
    http://www.fixya.com/support/t139675-nee...

Takes a novice about 1/2h to do the whole procedure ;-)

How do I remove and replace the ink absorber pad/tank on my Brother MFC - 820 CW

Have a look at http://www.hstt.net/refill-faq/inside.html#Brother_mfc215c which is specificlly for the MFC-210c - no sure how similar the 820CW is.

It's in German but google does a reasonable translation.
After receiving a "UNABLE TO CLEAN" message, I've just cleaned the pads on my MFC-425CN (washed in cold water) and re-set the purge counter - all working fine now.

My mfc 210c is unable to clean and therefore I

Unable to clean means the waste ink is full, about 1 hour labor and $20.00 part. With the new machines running about $100.00 it's probably not worth the repair.

Unable to clean

not sure you can try, it may be that it reads the color of the waste container ( there is a sensor that tells it time to replace)
so if has any dark residue it may not read it.

try see what happens

Mfc210c printer cant clean its self

the ink absorber box is fed up with waist (cleaning) ink. You need a new ink absorber box which can be bought from a service püartner near your home (see www.brother.com and click your country)

Unable to print, unable to int, unable to clean

unable to clean is the error 46. You have to change the waistinktank and to reset the error code: Buy/order a new waistinktank from a service partner (see brother homepage). Open the printer (use pictures to know how to): http://www.hstt.net/refill-faq/inside.html#Brother_mfc215c The waistinktank (ALTTINTENTANK) is the plasticcover with the white felt in it (should be gray/black now) and the two tubes (gray/white). Unplug the tubes and change it to the new one. Reassemble the printer. After power up press menu then start mono (B/W) then 4 times arrow-up: maintenance should be displayed and printer beeps with flashing buttons. Press 8 and 0 (zero). Press severaltimes (about 15-20) start mono (b/w) until purge (Nummer is about 6425) is displayed. Press 2 7 8 3. Purge is 0000. press stop. press 99. machine comes up again. thats it. BTW: YOu cant clean the waistinktank. Buy/order a new one! If you reset the purgecount without changing the waistinktank ink will flow into the machine!!!
