Since you did not provide a model number this is the best guess. On 25 Cu Ft and above models no matter the manufacturer most of the filters are in the left portion of the grille at floor level. You turn the tab and the filter pops free. If yours is not in this are just respond here with a model number and I will help you.

you can add if needed . but this is the last thing to do for your problem . do ck the fans and air flow first . also the derfrost system these are more common for a no cool problem .. mm

sounds like the cold coil is freezing up and this is a defrost problem.. ck the defrost themo/ and the heater . / may also be the defrost timer . but every 3 mo ( i would think the defrost terminator is failing .. ) mm

this may be because
1.the refrigrant is not sufficient for cooling so the cooling process is not taking place.
2.there may be some leak due to which the refrigrant may drained out
3.the cooling fan is not working properly
4.the radiator is not proper.there are blocks in it which reduces the rate of cooling.

its because the thermistor in your refrigrator has failed . it controls the the temperature settings give me your model and brnd of your refrigrator i will give procedure to replace it

Is the service light on?

Try checking your water valve in the back and see if its still good... thats what lets the water in... if its getting power to it
