My mp3 player was doing fine and then all of a sudden it started playing at chipmunk speed and nothing I do will change it. Help! I have pushed every button on the thing which of course doesn't help. I've recharged the battery but to no avail.

With podcasts on the ipod touch you can vary the speed of play. From
normal speed to 1.5 times, 2 times and half speed. Just under the play
indication is a button which is probably reading 1.5x or 2x press this
button and you will be able to change the speed back to 1x. Hope this
If you are using Media Player, open media player, click on View, then Enhancements, choose Play Speed Settings, move to the bottom left of the screen and select Normal, it will be between Slow and Fast. Let me know if this helps
This will reset the player to its original factory settings.
1. Press Menu to return to the Main Menu.
2. Move to Reset All and select it.
3. Select Save to reset to factory settings or Cancel to stop.
