My Garmin nuvi, a Christmas present this year-6months old, suddenly started staying on "acquiring satellites" yesterday. I rebooted it several times, stopped the car and held it in an open area, left it off in the car overnight, and still today it can't find satellites. it also shut itself off in less than five minutes when I disconnected it from the car. I love my nuvi--how can I make it better?? PK

I am having the same problem with my nuvi 350 and its about the same age. I read on another post it may need a new battery but you need to send it to garmin. I am going to contact garmin directly.
Hi I had this problem and its an antenna fault, give garmin a call and see if yours is still under warranty, if it is they will tell you to take it back to the retailor who will call garmin for a RA Number and they will replace it there and then. If your warranty has run out then call garmin to ask about repairs

I had the same problem with my brand new nuvi 200w. I called Garmin support and they were able to help me. I live on Long Island and evidently when I first turned on the unit I had selected the "Atlantic" time zone rather than "Eastern." The support tech had me reboot the unit by turning it off, holding my thumb onto the lower right hand corner of the screen and turning the unit back on. It does prompt you that you will lose your previous settings. When I reset it and selected the proper time zone its worked like a charm.
Hello, Here was my problem. I was traveling at 60mph yesterday and my Nuvi 360 dislodged and fell down with a huge impact inside my car. I came home and tried to look for any damage. Unfortunately Nuvi had stopped to continue beyond loading maps screen. I tried rebooting , but the problem persisted. It would take me to reboot screen, but after screen calibration, when it came to loading map screen, again went blank. I tried this and just simple starting by pushing power button several times but to no avail. I called technical support, eho advised me to to just simply connect it to my labtop and leave it that way for 3 to4 hours. Bingo!, in the next 30 mins, I accidentally switched my laptop top off, but Nuvi had started to work all fine.
