If the display on your Siemens IQ 700 washing machine is not functioning but the machine continues to function normally, there may be an issue with the display module or the connections between the module and the machine's main control board. Here are some potential solutions to the problem:
Verify the power source: Ensure that the washing machine is correctly plugged into the power socket and that the outlet is operational. Try plugging in a separate appliance to test the outlet's functionality.
Reset the machine: Attempt to reset the washing machine by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This could perhaps reset the control board and resolve the display issue.
Switch off the electricity to the washing machine and disconnect it from the electrical outlet. Remove the machine's rear panel to gain access to the display module and primary control board. Ensure that the connections between the two modules are secure by examining them. Attempt to clean any loose or corroded connections using a dry cloth or a tiny brush.
If the connections are secure and there are no apparent signs of damage, it may be necessary to replace the display module. To replace the module, contact a Siemens service center or a skilled technician.
If the display module is not the issue, it may be necessary to replace the main control board. This component is responsible for regulating all washing machine functions, including the display. The control board must be replaced if it is defective. To replace the control board, contact a Siemens service facility or a skilled technician.
When servicing a washing machine, it is essential to observe all safety precautions. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with any of these processes, you should call a skilled technician or service center for assistance.
E57 is a door lock fault. Now either the door lock itself or the control board will cause this fault.
What you need to do is open the little filter cover in the bottom right corner and there is a pull tab.
Pull this and that should release the door and allow you to open it.
Then retry the washer again and see if the fault has cleared.
If not then remove the top of the washer and remove the control board. From there check to see if theres any signs of burning on there. If so then the board will need to be replaced.
If the board looks ok then you can try and replace the door lock and see if it cures it. But if still after replacing the lock its the same then the control board will be the fault here.
Before you replace the board, you may be able to reset the error code. Start with the washer off (the knob will be at the 12 o'clock position) and the door closed. Turn the knob to the 6 o'clock position and wait 2 seconds. Press and hold the spin button while you turn the knob to the 7 o'clock position. Wait another 2 seconds and release the spin button. Turn the knob to off. You may need to repeat this up to 6 times. If the error continues to appear, the board is faulty.
If the washer is under warranty, contact Siemens. I hope this helps.
I have a Siemens WM16S772DN washing machine and encountered the error code "F:67" followed by repeated beeps. (Note: Siemens and Bosch are related companies). I called Siemens and they said the code means "Fatal error" or program error. The service technician was called, and he replaced the electronic board and reprogrammed it.
Take the control board out, open it up, and resolder the heater relay or replace the control. It may be under the recall and you can get a new control replaced for free.
