A line in my akai mpc 2000 how to fix it - Computers & Internet

Hello there,
You dont say what was wrong when you said it was being 'fixed' and a Hard Drive and/ or CD added.
Has it been updated to V1.24 software which fixes a bug in hard drives formatting ? As per the release notes. http://www.akaipro.com/product/mpc2500#downloads


I would very much doubt there is problem with the IDE interface UNLESS this was the original reason you were having it fixed.

I would take it to the AUTHORISED AKAI PRO Dealer to have it inspected.and a PROPER understandable report given to you if the Machine still won't accept a Hard Drive or a CD mechanism.

I'm having the same problem. This is my second MPC 1000 and my first one didn't have this problem. I bought one of the first one-thousand MPC 1000's sold in the US. I loved it. I sold it for rent, boo hoo. I'm glad to have another one back in my life. But sad to see it having issues already. I've only had it for a week. I have emailed Akai regarding this issue. I'll post pack here if they give me a good fix.

Good idea to carry it with you. Fluctuating barometric pressure will not affect it.

You could set the sample to "one shot" in the trim page or in the Program>KG Mix>Zone page.... it is currently set to "as sample"... i like to use the release to let the sample fade out as long as i like... its a lot diffrent from the old poly mono thing but i like it better overall... hope this is helpfull.

Dear fixya thank you for replaying to my e-mail about my mpc 4000 problem, and yes after pulling my hair out and further investigation i did fix the problem. i had no audio comming from one of the main outputs and all i did was change that one faulty audio cable and everything was all good. I took the no good cable, tied it in to a knot and dumped it right into the trash can. Now im back to master beatz...

The error code is :

Rate/Amount not within range specified on control file.

Run chkdks /r and restart the computer

Let me know if u got help

the screen has probly burned out.. u need to get it replaced
