Chances are the deck drive belt has been knocked off one of the pulleys or the drive clutch won't engage properly. With the spark plug wire removed, rotate the blades by hand and make sure they both move together. This verifies the blade linking belt is OK. Now engage the blade operating control and feel for resistance as you rotate the blades. If you feel no change in resistance, remove the belt cover and reinstall the drive belt over the pulleys and tensioner/clutch mechanism.
Check your electric clutch. To test the clutch turn the key on don't start the mower. Leave the key in the on position and pull the switch that turns the deck on and off. If the clutch is working you should here a click. If it does nothing check the power supply going to the clutch. Your switch might be bad also. if the clutch is pulling to many amps it could have blown your switch.

The common cause of this problem is that one of the safty switches has come dis-connected or has failed since most every newer mower has a electric clutch controlling the mower deck PTO there are safties bilt in under the seat and in other locations to make sure everything is ok before the blades engage, easiest way to test this is to run a jumper from the positive post of the battery to the input wire on the electric clutch assembly making sure all other wires ade dis-connected from the clutch and see if the blades engage if so then usint a continuity tester check all the wires and switches to this item to check for a faulty switch or broken wire. Thanks Don

take a look at the wires going to the clutch and make sure the wires where routed the right way and not rubbed against the belt and damage the wires
