It could be you need to uninstall the driver and plug the camera in first and allow the laptop to install the software automatically.

Not to be too simplistic, but have you moved either the desktop computer or the monitor recently. Even if you haven't, check to make sure the video cable is plugged in completely on the back of the monitor and into the computer. It may look plugged in, but is not making a complete connection.

If you don't use an identical monitors, then they may not work if your video card can not handle them. The "check video cable" it means the monitor does not get a signal, and it does not mean that the monitor is a problematic monitor. You can test this monitor as a single monitor (and try to connect it using first video port, and then move it to the second video port).

You have problem with computer. Is you video card is built in. if not reset the video card of your computer. Full it up the card and return i again to the socket. Then check your monitor.

first thing check all power cables and monitor cables are plugged in properly , also you might check the monitor cable , inside the medal housing to see if any pins were broke off while moving. this would be an easy fix , just buy a new cable. if not check to see if you have a video card and that it is not moving around and properly seated to motherboard. if not most pc's are onboard video which would be entirely different issue. most of the time when moving pc's its usually a simple fix.

You were not very clear with your question. If you mean you have disabled your onboard video, then installed the new video card and get nothing then the card is not compatible with your system OR you got a bad card. If you mean you simply installed the card, turn on your computer and get nothing until you move your monitor plug back to the original port (without turning off the computer) then you must disable your onboard video by going into your BIOS settings. Follow the instructions that came with your video card or your computer to do that. Usually you get in by pressing delete or F2 while the computer boots.

The monitor is probably on protection.

To start unplug monitor from power and from computer and test computer with different monitor to find out if it is monitor or computer fault.

If it is computer fault and no video signal , then test:

• Video cable.
• Video adapter on PC (sometimes integrated on motherboard)
• Motherboard.

If it is monitor fault , then the monitor is on protection.

When on protection you keep having a flashing led on front of the monitor , and monitor turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the Monitor goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or a broken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.


If you are in situation one, then the monitor will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, faulty inverter board, faulty input board, or a fault on LCD Digital Controller board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

Try moving the video cable, and if the cable is not built in, then also try a replacement cable.

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Sounds as though the control unit has died. There are 3 parts to most monitors. The video processor board, power supply board and the HV/backlight board. You can replace the video processor board.
Make sure you leave the unit unplugged first and set for an hour. Usually no other fix then replace the board.

Multiple monitors overview On many portable computers and some desktop computers (those with two video ports on one video card), you can expand your display to a second monitor by using Dualview. Dualview is very similar to the multiple monitor feature, with the exception that you cannot select the primary display. On a portable computer, the primary monitor is always the LCD display screen. Once you attach the second monitor and turn on your computer, use Display in Control Panel to configure your settings, just as you do with multiple monitors. Dualview can be used with docked or undocked portable computers.

2. On the Settings tab, click Identify to display a large number on each of your monitors, showing which monitor corresponds with each icon.

• To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
• The icon positions determine how you move items from one monitor to another. For example, if you are using two monitors and you want to move items from one monitor to the other by dragging left and right, place the icons side by side. To move items between monitors by dragging up and down, place the icons one above the other. The icon positions do not have to correspond to the physical positions of the monitors. You can place the icons one above the other even though your monitors are side by side.
