Blurry views and SAF shown at the bottom of the screen

I have bought the T1 for over 3 years. Last week when I opened it, I found the views become blurry. At the bottom of the screen it appeared SAF. Do not understand what is SAF and what is the problem. Also lens problems?

Blurry views and SAF shown at the bottom. Owned camera for several years, but used lightly - just started.

I am experiencing the same problem (distorted images) with my Song DSC-T1 camera. Thanks to your post, I have submitted a service request to the Sony technical support group. I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks, again.

I have the same problem and would like to know if you found any solution. i have tried looking for repair shops, etc, but hilo, hi does not seem to have any.

WOW, I was amazed of the number and timing of those with the same problem I am having. Fortunately the link provided took me to Sony directly, I trouble shooted the problem and was able to create a repair request all at the same time. Thanks for the help! We thought we were going to need to buy a new camera. Hopefully, that won't be the case.

Lately I have had some weird problems with the DSC-T1. side form th eimage being slightly blurry, half of the LCD screen appears darker tha the upper part, somtimes the upper area is yellowish and often there are firey wavering flashes f blueish, green colors going across the screen horizontally! This canera has been well taken are of and never dropped. It was bought in Boston prior to 2003. I have emailed Sony and now I am waiting for their feedback. I see that many of you who are identifying similar problems are stating that Sony will fix this free of cost! Sounds like a plan.

I have owned an emerson tv for two years now. All of a sudden the picture has become very blurry and white. It is not the cable connection and a DVD is also white and blurry. Even the input channels are...

you must open the back cover of tv, and then things you should do is set "SCREEN" adjustment on the flyback transformer. you must turn it counterclockwise to reduce and decrease the level of screen brightness. turn screen adjustment gradually until the horizontal blanking lines disappear from the screen. and blurred images will be sharp again

SAF error message & blurry pictures

maybe you need a new memory card if your card is full sometimes it can cause a camera not to work or shut down because of an overload of files.  If you memory card is not full most likely your camera has a defect to it. I suggest you take to a person who specializes in fixing cameras by your company. For the burry picture thing, there are different settings on a camera and I'm pretty sure that there is one to sharpen the picture images.

Lcd screen is blurry on my sony handycam dcr-hc20

This does not sound like a CCD problem yet, but a LCD problem. This would require you to replace the LCD screen. Sounds like the LCD inverter is shot. That is the power supply that is required to back light your LCD.

Before we blame that, you should make sure that all ribbon cables are secure and tight.

Good luck !

Blurry/Hazy picture on Philips Tv

as your problem is the picture has become blurry/hazy 1 it sounds me that there is a little sparking near high voltage section that is near flyback transformer.please get it check. 2 if it is ok then focusing anode wire going to crt base from flyback transformer is not making proper contact due to some foreign material deposited on it. please call tech person if you ae not aware of it as tv is a very high voltage device.
