This is normal. Cooling fans today are not turned by the fan belt but are run by an electric motor. The fan continues running until the coolant temperature is reduced
Many cooling systems are designed to let the cooling fan continue to run even after shutting down the engine...however, this should only last for a minute or so...your owners manual may help. If the fan never stops when turned off this is probably a faulty resistor...may need a good mechanic to confirm which...Hope this helps.
the fan will continue to run after the power is shut down on a DLP television untill the set has cooled down . But it should shut off within a few minutes
Hello, The fan does run continuously on this projector however it should be running very very slow when the projector has completed it's lamp cool down routine. The reason for this is that a portion of the switching power supply remains energized (running) when the projector is at rest. But as I mentioned it should run very slow in this state. If it remains running full blast then most likely the fan speed control chip is shorted which can cause fail 2 ways, either the fan 1. runs full speed or 2. remains stalled (then the projector will go over-temp and shut itself down) I hope this answers you question.
