This software cannot be installed using the 'Run as...' command. The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.
Required Action: Click Cancel to exit this software installation. Log off and then log on as a user with administrator privileges. (Contact your system administrator for more information.) If there is no system administrator, have the primary user of this computer install the software. Restart the installation by removing and re-inserting this installation CD.

I have exactly the same problem.

I am the only user of the computer, and therefore the Administrator.

It still won't run the installation software.

This error tell us that you are not logged in with full admin rights on your computer to install software and driver package, and it also sounds like you are trying to start software install using the "run command"

There is nothing wrong with printer but you do seem to be having trouble loading the required software and driver package on your p.c.

Are you also using new Vista software/driver package for your HP OJ 4215 cause the one that came with it maybe XP.

Go to HP and download correct package, AND log on as administrator with FULL priveledges, your username (normal login) may not, from the looks of this.

My hp officejet 6210 is asking my to install scan options how do i do that HELP

Install the latest drivers from the website. To download:
1 Go to hp.com 2 Click on Support and Drives 3 Enter your product name or number, in this case just type in Officejet 8500 All-In-One 4 Hit go 5 Choose your operating system 6 Hit Next 7 Click on the link that says Driver - Product Installation Software 8 Save it to your desktop
But before Installing the Software, use the Disc that came with the printer so you can do an L3_Uninstall first.

To go for an L3_Uninstall:
1 Go to My Computer (XP), Computer (Vista and Win7) 2 Right Click on the Driver CD, The one that has the HP Logo 3 Open Util 4 Open CCC 5 Double Click on the icon that says Uninstall_L3
The Uninstall will prompt you to restart the computer once it's done. After doing so, Install the newly downloaded software.
Try scanning again, I hope this worked. :)

I have installed yahoo messenger 10, had the older version. I uninstalled older version b4 installing newer one. I can log on to messenger fine but only for about 10sec tops b4 another window opens up in...

Yes, it seems there must be some conflicting software issues between the old and new versions.

I have had a similar problem with a clients computer in the past. I was able to get everything running by:

hitting start menu, control panel, click programs/ features and find messenger in the list.

Completely uninstall anything found both old and new.

turn off your computer....

Restart it and then install the new messenger 10 again.

this should solve your problem.

if this does not help finally make sure your operating system can handle the requirements of messenger 10.

If it does not you need to run an older version.

This should help you.

please rate my service it helps me too. Thnaks!

No audio output device installed

If the speakers came with your computer check the Support link at the computer manufacturers website. If you bought them separately then you'll need to check the speaker manufacturers website to see if they have a Vista driver available. Hope this helps.

When I bought camera I had Windows XP. New computer has Vista.

So you now have Vista, but the software will not load...

If you have Windows Vista (32-bit), click this link and download the "HP photosmart software and drivers" package. Install by directions.

Bought new compac laptop..had hp photosmart3210 all-in-one printer. installation disc i had did not support windows vista. came to hp and downloaded new driver to support windows vista. worked for two days...

the software you downloaded will have a folder called ccc you need to follow the steps below and reinstall again for this to work.

disconnect the usb from the printer>
insert the printer cd in the drive>
cancel the autorun that pops up>
Explore the cd from my computer>
locate the folder called ccc>
it will contain files called uninstalll1, uninstalll2,uninstalll3,uninstalll4>
run them all in the same order as above>
this will completely wipe off the hp device from the pc (it will take time each level taking more time then the one bofore it)
once done restart the pc>
reinsert the printer software cd and follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall the printer software again.

if this dose'nt work and u need steps for registry cleanup (usb entries) let me know

Hp printer problems with vista

Hello, you will need to complete the add new hardware wizard, sometimes the drivers are corrupted and the wizard ends before all installation takes place (undertaker02 this is also for you) Do this:-Log on to your computer by using an administrator account.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
4. Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\LPTENUM
5. Right-click the registry key, and then click Delete.
6. Under Confirm Key Delete, click Yes.
7. Close Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
When Windows XP restarts, it will detect the printer and install support for it. After the printer is installed, it will no longer be detected each time you start Windows XP.
