low beam and high beam is in the one setting unless you have separate headlights
procedure is to place the car on level ground 3 feet from a wall that reflects the head light
draw a cross on the wall at the height of the center of head light lens
switch on the head lights (high beam)and you will see the center beam of high beam on the wall
using the screws at the back of the assembly adjust that spot to be pointing slightly to the left if rh drive ot left if lh drive and about 1 inch below the line that you drew on the wall
when you have that correct , it will put the low beam in the correct legal position
if the rear of the vehicle is sitting down , trailer of caravan on , the the head lights have to still be adjusted to legal setting
Headlight adjustment is fairly straight forward, you will need to park the car on a level surface with a fence or wall 25 feet away and a reference point for measurements to the right or left of the car. First measure from the reference point to the center line of the car then transfer that to the wall, second, measure from the center of the car to the center of the headlights and transfer those to the wall, third, measure from the ground to the center of the headlights and transfer that to the wall. Once all of the reference points have been transferred, adjust the left (driver's side) headlight so that the most intense part of the beam is 2 inches below and 2 inches to the right of the left mark, the right (passenger side) headlight should be adjusted so that it will be 2 inches below and 1 inch to the left of the mark. If done correctly, you will have very good night vision without blinding oncoming traffic.
P.S. Please note that any heavy objects in the car will be a factor in correct headlight adjustment, have the car loaded as it will be normally used.

Park your vehicle on level ground with the headlights near a garage door or wall. A good distance is 2-3 feet away from the wall or door. The location must be perfectly level and flat at a distance of 10 to 25 feet away from the door or wall. Switch on the low headlight beams and mark the horizontal and vertical centerlines of each headlight beams on the wall using masking tape. This will mark the center of each beam with a +. The marking will tell you where exactly the headlight beams should be centered from a distance. Move the vehicle back about 10 to 25 feet away from the garage door or the wall.
Keep the headlights on the low beam setting. Use the markings you made on the wall or garage door to, check where the light shines and see if the centerlines still match up with the masking tape marks. If the centerlines of the two beams do not align with the tape marks, you can adjust one or both sides as needed.
Make the necessary adjustments with the lights still on while watching the light beams on the wall and your marks. Turning the top adjusting screws in a clockwise direction will raise the beam while counterclockwise turn will lower it.
Turning the side adjuster screws will adjust the lights to the left or right.
Continue the adjustments until the center of the light beams are aligned with the tape marks. Then adjust the vertical alignment of both beams slightly below the marks on the wall. This will assure that the lights are tilted slightly downward so they won’t blind approaching motorist.
The will align bot lights, the high and low sine both are connected to the same headlight!!
