Step 1: Prep your strawberries

Choose berries that are dark red, firm and fully ripe. Wash and drain the fruit carefully, then remove the stems and caps. Dry berries on towels in a single layer.
Test Kitchen tip: Do not soak the berries in water or they'll lose some flavor and nutrients.

Step 2: Freeze them

Strawberries can be frozen whole, sliced or crushed, and with or without sugar.
For whole, unsweetened berries, first freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet. Doing so will keep them from getting stuck together later on. Once they're solid, place in freezer containers or bags. Try to remove as much air as possible by completely filling containers or pressing extra air out of bags before sealing to avoid freezer burn.
For sweetened strawberries, halve or slice strawberries into a bowl. For each quart of berries, add 1/2 cup sugar and gently stir until sugar is dissolved. Lightly crush berries if desired. Spoon into a freezer container, seal tightly and freeze.
That's all you do. Wasn't that easy?

Do you have any recipe for milk free ice cream? For lactose intollerant diet?? Perhaps Almond Milk or Soy Milk.

Here are some of the useful steps to make a milk free ice cream.
1.) Microwave the chocolate and butter-substitute for thirty seconds in a microwave-safe bowl.
2.) Add a dash of salt, and a splash of vanilla extract to taste.
3.) Put a scoop of marshmallow fluff into the bowl and stir it in thoroughly.
4.) Remove the spoon, lick it clean, and wait up to 5 minutes for your mixture to become room temperature.
5.) Place it in the freezer for 50 minutes, remove, and if it is still not frozen well, then stir it thoroughly and place it back in the freezer for another 20 minutes.

Freezing fresh strawberries

I have two ways of freezing berries ( strawberries included) The first one is to spread the berries on a tray, put them into the freezer, wait until they are frozen. Then put them into an airtight container, back into the freezer and use within three months . The second is, especially if making a jam later, to roll the berries in sugar then the same procedure .

I want background information about what will freeze faster:salt water, sugar water,or regular water for science project

Fresh water will freeze the fastest. It doesn't matter whether you add salt or sugar, as long as you add the same number of moles. See this article for more details.

Can I freeze apples whole or do they need cutting

Please allow me to give you some tips on how to freeze raw apples

Freezing apples will prolong the shelf life, and they will remain fresh for up to 12 months. However, after the apples thaw, they need to be used within a day or two because they will deteriorate quickly.

1. Select ripe sweet apples without large bruised areas. Apples that are firm will be easier to peel.
2. Rinse the apples under cold water. Dry them off with paper towels.
3. Dissolve 1/2 tsp. of ascorbic acid into 3 tbsp. of water. You will need 1/2 cup of sugar for each quart of peeled and sliced apples.
4. Peel the apples to remove the skins. Remove any brown spots from the apples with a sharp knife.
5. Remove the core from the apple. An apple corer will work best for this task; they are available at most grocery stores. Slice the apples into 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch slices. Remove the seeds, stems and hard areas of the apple.
6. Combine 1 qt. of apples with 1/2 cup of sugar and the ascorbic acid solution in a large plastic storage bag. Coat the apples evenly with the sugar and solution.
7. Pack the apple slices into freezer containers. You can also freeze the slices on a cookie sheet and then pack them into containers to prevent them from sticking together in clumps.
