Ir5020 similar problem; no discovery of scanner using scan gear

Hi. Scan gear is just an interface to use the copiers as a scanner. You need and adittional program to scan (for example : acrobat Profesional allow you to create pdf files form scanner, also can use nitro pro. Or any program to scan. I prefer PRESTO PAGE MANAGER. . When scanning you select source : color network scan gear

Hi welcome main problems are the abs valves causing the 3 dash lights (search 3 amigos online) a really badly sited compressor can cause air suspension models to fail giving the bags a slow leak the V8 is a solid engine but can have radiator expansion tank and cap failures
the other issue is electrics windows and door looms are problematic

the Ir5000 i belive can't scan to email.... but i believe the ir5020 does. what you need to make it scan to email is a program like E-Copy Desktop. which can scan from the copier to your computer as a pdf.

Firstly, the machine must be connected to a pc or network. Secondly, you must scan the document to a pc so, after you have switched on, as you have, the scanner so that it says 'online' you will need to go to the pc and 'PULL' the document to the pc from the scanner. However, to do this you will need to have installed NETWORK SCAN GEAR on your PC inorder to SCAN. When you install the software, you will need to DISCOVER the scanner before it will be ready for use. So, a recap:

1. You NEED a program called NETWORK SCAN GEAR on your PC
2 Your ir2230 must be connected to a PC or network
3 You need to DISCOVER your ir2230 from your PC
4 You then need to INSERT picture FROM SCANNER and select your ir2230 from within a program such as WORD using NETWORK SCAN GEAR

Ir 2016, can be onlly pull scanner, so that means that you must have installed scan gear, selected in scan gear, and over microsoft word or similar insert scan ( INSERT PICTURE FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA ), but the machine must be in scan mode, put original on platen or dadf, and then "pull it"from PC.

It can't identify the link and I suspect you've either had someone modify your server with new software updates, or there has been some network maintenance done that has moved, altered or deleted the server link. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the IR5020 if your other IO activity is unaffected.

OK, you should have canon driver/software cd.On that CD you will find Scan Gear, after installation, open Scan gear and "discover" the ir2020.( copier must be in scan mode) then press select.
Open the word or similar on your pc that is connected with USB to copier.Under tab insert chose the insert from scaner or camera, chose scan gear and custom insert.

look behind tray for paper preventing the feed rollers from knowing there is paper there

Close the Digital Imaging Monitor.
◄ Start or restart the services :
1. HP Cue Device Discovery.
2. HP Net Device Discovery.
3. HPQCS08.
◄ Run Digital Imaging Monitor.
◄ Wait for a Minute, if the configuration screen appears it is done else refresh the HP Cue Device Discovery
◄ Restart the Printer
◄ 99% chances of resolution and in the other cases a proper uninstall and reinstall is needed
