If its an an ac unit (i.e plugged into the 110Vac wall outlet) and the switch is the on/off switch, it doesn't matter which one goes on which terminal.
to put this belt on you have to put it on the bottom pulley first and do all the loops and then do the tensioners last now if you do not have a diagram under the hood go to autozone or the place you purchased the belt from and ask them for a diagram
Locate the belt tensioner pulley. It's the one closest to the alternator and the only one that comes in contact with the back surface of the belt.
Fit the socket on to the bolt on the pulley. Try to turn it clockwise. This should swing the pulley down and loosen the belt, Slide the belt off one of the other pulleys. When it's clear, release the tensioner, remove the belt.
