It took me forever to figure out, but the "lanterns" are two poles (striped red and white like a candy cane) with three little lights on them. Two are square, one is circular. They are $1500.00.
Speed dial numbers are assigned when you first enter a name and phone number for someone in 'Contacts'. To edit the speed dial number, go to Contacts > (Select the Name of the person you want to change the speeddial # for) > select, Edit > and choose a speed dial number not already assigned. Remember Speeddial #1 is reserved for your voice mail.

Press PROGRAM * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). 2. Now press 001 and then SP-PHONE. Enter the system speeddial location ( 00 to 99 ) or just press SP-PHONE again to go to 00. 3.
