SOURCE: oster bread machine 5811 manual

You may download, save and print the .PDF manual free of charge from:

http://dl.owneriq.net/d/d16a815a-a3e6-4ded-952e-d8d35a3638cb.pdf

This .PDF document does not specify it as the Model 5811 manual; however, it is nearly identical, right down to the control panel on top.

Before I posted this comment, I downloaded, saved and printed the .PDF manual, and then took it downstairs to give it a whirl. PERFECT! At the time of this writing, my elderly Oster Bread Machine, Model 5811, #BM-100 (J222) is whipping up my first large loaf of white bread!

Incidentally, we discovered our Oster Bread Machine sitting on a shelf in an old house we were given as an apartment community manager quarters. It was sitting with some other stuff slated to be hauled to Goodwill (or the dump)!

I spent the past hour surfing the net looking for an Oster Bread Machine Model 5811 manual. Other than a couple of site where I was asked to pay a fee to download a .PDF or .ZIP file, there was little else. A couple of sites that purported to be THE place to download the manual turned out to be non-existent or otherwise dead ends.

Hope this helps all you who have been seeking this manual in vain for so long.

Happy Baking!

SOURCE: sqeaking when kneading oster 2 loaf bread machine - how to oil?

Hi,
Take out the bread pan and go to a kneading cycle. See if it is squeaking. If yes, then it could be the belt squeaking on the pulley or the motor itself. If it does not squeak when the pan is out, then it's the bread pan paddle and sealed bearing. That sealed bearing is lubed and sealed. It can't be oiled. Hank

Testimonial: "Thanks, Hank - we will just live with the noise until it dies, then buy a new one."

My Oster flases E01 What do I do

That is usually a temperature warning of some kind. They differ from machine to machine. It means your machine is either too hot or too cold and needs to be at room temp for a while before you try to bake with it.

No, Everything should be done automatically. It seems that the machine did not knead the dough. Two things may have caused this. 1) The paddle is frozen and wont turn. Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can rotate the paddle by hand. If yes...that's cool, if no then the sealed bearing that the paddle rotates on is jammed or broken. Try filling the pan with warm water and let it soak. If after a few times it's still frozen, then the bearing is broken and bread pan needs to be replaced. 2) Belt fell off or is snapped. Keep the pan out of the machine and go to a kneading cycle. Look through the window on the lid and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no... the belt fell off or snapped, or the motor is broken. Good luck..Hank

Loaf falls in the middle and outside is hard

Falling in middle is usually due to innacurate measuring of liquids. Try again using the instruction manual's recipe and very carefully measuring. Be sure to adjust the liquid if you use honey or other liquid not called for in the recipe.
