Could potentially be a blown fuse in your trucks interior fuse box. I had a loose ground connection from mine and i hit a bit bump one time while driving and kept blowing the fuse when the connection would break. maybe worth checking those if u havent already
SOURCE: Not enough bass
its prolly the deck, did you try turning the alpine's input gain controls up...
its not the wiring, if the wiring was insuficient, it would just melt...
you might also see if you could adjust the bass frequencies or crossover frequency, the crv might just have a different resonant frequency then the rav 4

THE AMPS PERFORMCE IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE STATE OF THE BATTERY AND THE CONNECTION FROM THE AMP TO THE BATTERY, CONNECT THE AMP DIRECTLY TO THE BATTERY TO SEE IF THE SAME PROBLEM EXIST OUTSIDE THE CAR
SOURCE: JL 300/2 v2 Power Light Blinks, No sound out of Sub. Works in friends Car HELP
This is normally due to clipping of your sub. Try reducing your low pass frequency to half and volume gain on your amp to 1/2. Your amp circuitry is over-heating. It's not designed to run like that. Use minimal gain on your amp and use your head unit to increase your bass. Turn up your stereo 'til you begin to distortion from there adjust your gains to your listening volume.
SOURCE: subs not as loud as they should be plz help
RCA output level and speaker level output have different voltages and currents. The problem you are describing is common to folks trying to connect an OEM dash unit to an aftermarket amp. If your amp has speaker level inputs, try wiring to those......best bet..buy a new head unit, it'll sound better...louder and cleaner.
