How do you retract a kwikset lever signature series exterior door tounge manually, lever moves up/down but tounge doesnt move out off latch

You will probably need to replace the latch assembly. There is a small rivet that holds part of the latch together, and it also acts as a pivot point for a small piece that retracts the latch. If it gets bent, the latch won't retract fully, but you might be able to push it back and get the door open.

Another cause for the red LED blinking on your Kwikset lock, especially when it beeps 3 times is it could be jammed or misaligned. When this happens, check and see if the door is securely latched or aligned properly. If needed, you can also adjust the strike plate to get the latch moving freely again.
