My watch not working how to setup

  1. Check the battery: Before attempting to set up your watch, make sure that the battery has not run down. If the battery is dead, you will need to have it replaced by a professional watchmaker or authorized Breitling service center.
  2. Wind the watch: If the battery is not dead, you may need to wind the watch to get it started. Most Breitling watches have a self-winding mechanism, but if it has not been worn for a long time, it may need to be manually wound.
  3. Set the time: Once the watch is running, you can set the time by pulling out the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) and turning it until the hands are set to the correct time. Push the crown back in when the time is set.
  4. Set the date: If your watch has a date function, you can set the date by pulling the crown out to the second position and turning it until the date changes. Push the crown back in when the date is set.
  5. Synchronize the time: If your watch has a chronograph function (stopwatch), you may need to synchronize the time to ensure that it is accurate. You can do this by starting the chronograph and waiting for it to complete a full revolution.

I have changed batteries on watches before but none were bulova. I opened the back which you have to do to change battery find what battery you need and order online. I have been able to find at stores year ago but most watches now days people don't change batteries they buy new watches. It is a little harder to find batteries in stores.
When you find the type battery google to get the place to buy it.

Mens Armani Watch AR-0659 What battery fits this watch

I don't know the battery type for your watch but I would suggest you get the battery change done professionally. They can replace the seal and guarantee its continued water resistance on your particular model. Sadly I learnt the hard way and after the DIY battery change on my (now deceased) Armani watch it filled with water on my next visit to the swimming pool!

mcdevito75 here, One year old, most likely the factory Battery and at 1 year old the battery is old, who knows how long the battery was in the watch before you bought it 1 year ago?? The battery is the first suspect. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for a new battery first.

My Freestyle 609 Tide watch just died. Is it OK for me to change the battery? How will that affect the tide settings? Thanks.

Changing the battery yourself can cause more problems than it solves, so it is safer to have it done prodfessionally.

I don't know about the tide settings problem.

My watch is not moving . I want to know do I need to change the battery or it is self wind? ref. 384858.Thanks

Its easy to tell if its battery operated or self wind. Turn the crown (where you set the time) forward. Self wind watches will click as you turn the crown. If its battery operated then you will hear no clicks. Some watches have a screw down crown so if the crown wont turn forward then try turning back. Some watches have a capacitor that needs to be charged! Seiko Kinetics are charged by movement like an older automatic. Citizens are charged by light!

Good luck!

CASIO WAVE CEPTOR

Hi there,
1./ First you need to make sure that the mode the watch is in is the time setting and then you want to press the top left button marked 'Adjust' and hold it down until the the hour display starts to flash.

2./ To change the hour you press the bottom right button marked 'start-stop' repeatedly until you get to the desired hour.

3./ To change the minutes you need to press the button marked 'mode' once and the minutes display will start to flash and then you repeat step 2. until you have the desired minutes.

The 'mode' button will cycle through to the day, date etc if you need to change them also.

To stop the flashing, you then press the 'Adjust' once more and the flashing should stop!

The same process applies to the alarms as well.
