I have a set of SUN-115H speakers that has a volume problem. When testing with DXDIAG, you can hear the sound but it is very faint even with the volume knob turned to full. Any ideas? ? ?

Is the power to the speakers correct? Since these are computer speakers, have you checked that the volume on the computer is turned up all the way? Have you tried the speakers on another computer or portable radio of something?

Very low sound volume

1. In bottom right of your taskbar is an icon of a small speaker, click on that and make sure the slider bar is at 100%.
2. Click the windows button in lower left corner and then click on control panel. Then click Hardware and Sound, then click adjust system volume and make sure those are at max volume and not muted.
3. Depending on your system there may be software that installed to manage your sound card or onboard sound, if there is usually there will be an icon representing it on the lower right of your taskbar. Open that and make sure sound levels are set to max and not muted as well.
4. Make sure you plugged the speakers into the right jack in the back, sometimes when plugged into the wrong hole you can faintly hear sound but thats it, USUALLY its the light green jack you want but that can vary (some sound card/connections will have small icons by each of the colored jacks as well though they are usually faint and kinda hard to see...they can help make sure speakers are plugged into the right spot)
5. Its possible your speakers are just old or defective and simply need replaced.

Same problem, brand new Dell Vostro, hooked up Polk Audio speakers from former computer and get very, very faint music. Need a solution

if the sound is very faint. you can check the volume properties if it is set to maximize and also check the physical volume control on the actual speaker - also Disconnect Any Headphones That May Be Connected to the Computer - Check for and remove any headphones connected to the computer or speakers to prevent them from muting the external speakers.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices. Click the Sounds tab. You can also try head phone if it is Crystal Clear on headphone then the problem is with the Speaker as Dell might need to replace it. :)

Very faint sound on everything, including system sounds. when playing a cd, can hear music, but not lead vocals except faintly. are the speakers shot? Everything was okay yesterday, and no settings have...

First of all, if you have volume controls on the keyboard, please make sure you turn the volume up from that location.

Next, locate the Speaker icon next to the time in the lower right corner of the screen. Double or single Click on that and make sure the volume slide bar is all the way to the top. If you don't have a speaker icon, roll over these icons slowly and an info bubble will pop up. Look for one that involves audio. If you right click on the icon, you may be able to select volume mixer or something similar, there you will find multiple volume settings, turn all up.

Finally, if you are having this problem when using a media player (Windows Media Player, VLC, Quicktime, etc), there will be a separate volume control within the player itself. They are usually a slide bar underneath the video or graphics display. Turn this up also.

Please note that if you are using a laptop, Laptop speakers are notoriously of poorer quality and lack the wattage of desktop speakers. In turn, it may not be a problem with your laptop2_bing.gif. You may need to look into purchasing an inexpensive set of external speakers.

Output port for left speaker Z2300

I've been having the same problem actually.

In my situation, turning the volume up and down using the speaker volume control will fix the problem. I only have the faint volume problem at some positions of the dial. turning it up usually fixes it. I'm thinking that opening it up and cleaning it might fix the problem (it used to work with an older set of Creative speakers i had).

If that doesnt work im going to try to get a new remote from logitech.
