Your refrigerator has an Adaptive Deforst Control located in the control panel inside the fresh food section part number 61005988 is is the most likely reason for your trouble. Picture #13 below.

My question is you defrosted the freezer and the fresh food section still only gets as low as 60 degrees? Or is everything working OK now?

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

Freezer is blowing and staying around 20 degrees and refrig is warm?

If you mean the rest of the refrigerator is warm, that means the fan that circulates the cool air from the cooling coils around the freezer compartment is broken, you'll need to send it in for repair.

Check to see if your hear your evaporator fan is running in your freezer, then check behind the refrigerator and see if your condensor fan is running. Make sure your condensor coils are clean under your fridge. Your symptoms are leaning towards dirty condensor coils. Good luck!

Hi..our maytag msd2351HE side by side is only making small amounts of ice..we are able to get water..Any suggestions?

I would suggest pulling the refrig out and removing the lower panel . On the right , there is a black box ( condensor ) . The fan pulls air thru the coils and dust , lint , etc , can block the air flow , causing the freezer to not get cold enough ( 5 degrees ) for the ice maker to work . Also check to make sure the fan there is working . If the fan is working and the coils are clean , try turning the freezer control slightly colder . If the fan is not working , replace the fan motor .

Freezer works, frig doesn't

there is a fan on many newer units that blows cold air from the freezer side to the frig. If that fan is not working, the frig will be cool, but not 34° like you want it.

Poorly Cooling Side Bu Side

the coils are actually behind the unit next to the fan assy(sorta a plate rolled over it self opposed to conventional coils on this particular unit).tyr removing hte lower panel in freezer section, check the evaporator.Should be an even frost pattern across hte entire coil, no frost with execption of the top 1 or 2 coils, is an indication of a sealed system issue( covered under 5 yr manufacture warr usually). excessive frost (cpmpartment completly frozen over) is a sign of bad defrost system.perhaps even the fan not circulating the cold air into the refrig compartmant
