How do you take apart electrolux canister vacuum #2100?

ok, you need to bypass the auto shut of. Put the vac on it's side and pull off the sliders on both sides.Carefully pull machine apart.lift the front of the piece that hold you bag.Underneathe there is a clear tube plugged in to a round thing on switch area.Simply pull the tube out of the rouind trhing. This will allow you to fillthe bag without shut dow.Just make sure your bag doesn't get too full....Chris

Shop vac whines when shut off

It may just be the fan slowing down and acting like a siren, or it may be a dry bearing. Take it all apart, clean and lubricate. Replace the carbon brushes perhaps whilst you are in there.

Electolux vavumn overheats shuts off

usually caused by a stressed out motor..... clean the hell out of it... hose, filters .... everything...there could even be crud down in the motor itself... which requires taking the vac apart and pulling out the motor...dont be afraid to take hoses off and wash them out and dry them before putting them back on.

My Bissell 3130 Easy Vac Bagless vacuum makes a "rev sound when pulling back on the vacuum, never did this before i have taken apart and cleaned vacuum thoroughly, not sure what else i can do

The drive belt may be wornout/stretched and the act of pulling the vacuum backwards could be causing the belt to slip and the motor to rev up as a result.

Do you have a replacement belt you can try?

Shop-vac model 90L550A motor wont run

Yes replacing the link would work, but that would not fix the cause. You have either pulled the wiring to the point of pulling apart the connection or there is a short. Which would be in the way of a grounding effect causing the link to heat and melt. A safty issue to be sure. Check all contact with housing and motor to make sure there is not an underlying problem to start with. Unpluged of course

The head on my canister vac vibrates, smells and makes a bad sound. When I took it apart the inside of the "end brush tufted" piece had bits of the plastic broken off. Should I replace the Agitator Unit...

If you are talking about the end cap is broken off the agitator, I would replace the agitator. you can check the motor by turning on the vac without the roller installed.

Burned out motor on QPL625 Shop Vac

well if you can find the motor ( find a place that deals with the manufacturer directly so you get the right part ) and it isnt to expensive, most shop vacs are pretty easy, if you look under the top you should see about four screws, remove those and the top should come of giving you access to the motor, take note about the wires and what they hook up to. i doubt the motor is fastend down other than that.
