Question about KitchenAid Dishwashers

1 Answer

Superba 8524570 There was short from entering machine. Repairman came and replaced fuse. Said it worked and left. We find out that water is not flowing. Checked water coming in and it's open. Repairman said we need to change electronic control board. In total that will cost almost $580. Does that make sense?

Your inlet hose probably came loose on the left side of the dishwasher. If you pull the d/w out 6 inch. or so you will see the s-shaped hose going to the inlet port on the tub. Make sure it's not pinched or leaking..Catriver

SOURCE: Miele G575 slow and insufficient water fill

The unit has a double valve system, the waterproof, it could be that one of the valves is not opening fully. They can break down over time. This would mean you need a new one. This should fix the problem.
Open the door once the wash has started and check the water level. It could be that it is siphoning out half way through the wash. Make sure your drain hose is secured up properly.
If when you open the wash and there is not enough water, it is most likely the waterproof, as I stated before.
cheers.

Check the Water Indicator (WI).
When you think it should be enough water, unplug WI connector from control board and check if on WI connector is closed contact (WI written on the control board housing). If not, try with some more water. And so on. When too much water with no contact on WI, it is the one to be replaced by new one.
NOTE: by every check UNPLUG the machine

Is there something stuck inside, underneath, being turned along with the motor? burning smell usually means something got caught and the belt snapped. Not expensive and don't know if it's an easy DYI. Shouldn't cost too much to have it repaired or you can google the brand and model and the word belt, see what you find.

Summit washer/dryer combo quit drying. Repairman came and replaced themafuse and thermastat kit. Shortly thereafter, the dryer cycle timer would indicate 10 minutes left and never clock down. The dryer...

summit washers are prone to board failures i would say that is where the fault lies . thermafuse fuse means it has been overheating. means it can damage other parts. thermostat would thing that has just worn out thermostat can go if the unit overheats. under line is an electrical fault. but like i've said it is a common fault with this make and others. the main boards can only handle around 50c in temp after that they start to over heat and cause problems. the faults started when they moved the main board from the bottom to the middle.

Ice Maker does not fill with water. Replaced the valve and still doesn't fill. Should there be light on the control where the on/ off switch is located?

If you can, remove cover from icemaker. Use a jumper wire and short L to V. Valve should turn on and water should enter icemaker. If you get water coming in then you likely have a bad icemaker. They're easy to install. and provide model and they will ship you one.

What causes the ice cubes in my ice maker fused

Good day,
If the temperature in the freezer is good and consistent, then it is the dual water valve on the rear of the machine, that is not shutting off properly.
The system turns the water valve on for 7 seconds just before the ice maker parks waiting for the next harvest cycle.
Many times the valve will be too slow in closing or continues to dribble even though no power is being applied to it, thus causing the well of the ice maker to overfill and overflow.
Replacement of the water valve is the only solution and is a very common problem.

Wont fill with water

Hi, Check the drain hose to make sure it hasn't dropped lower than the water level in the washer.
Sometimes when working on the machine, the drain hose gets moved. Does the drain hose go into a sump pump?
PLEASE let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Filter broke off in the holder

I have recently had to remove one that the end cap had broken off but I don't think you will be able to get this one out. You will need to replace the filter housing. It's not hard to do. You just need to get the part, pull the 2 screws holding it in along with the wire off to the left side, remove the water hoses and install the new housing.
