There are many different linkage configurations. Go onto Briggs and stratton.com and enter your exact nodel number and type number and it will give you a picture of the options
From what I read you need a new rewind clutch and the spring and cord go into the housing. Briggs is easy to fix. contact me at [email protected] and I can send you what you need or you can send it to me and I will repair it very cheap!! Parts are available at almost any small engine parts place.
wow, i have not ran into this problem yet. I am not getting any results for that engine in my usual locations, which have great diagrams. here is a link to the only diagram i can get a hold of. hope this works.
