Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you! I understand you would like to know how much the replacement bake element is for your Frigidaire oven. May you please provide your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) in the storage drawer, on the right side. Thus this information I can provide the correct part number to you and price. Thanks!

SOURCE: ES300 Frigidare electric range bottom element

You can replace this element yourself and it is not uncommon for elements to melt if you don't catch it burning when it first catches on fire. This is scary, but normally, the element burns itself out on it's own and doesn't catch anything else on fire.

Please contact us at:

The door seal is about 35 the element around 75.00. If you use self cleaning the element burns as high as possible. Therefore the element could have been damaged. I believe 5 to 7 years is the norm. Have a good day.

Upper oven elements don't heat

Hello- 'Successfully' sounds like you were forewarned....  During the 'self-clean' cycle a circuit or connection to the upper elements burned out while attempting to turn stuff inside the oven to ash. Since this is a wall oven my recommendation is for service from a good tech in your area. You may have lucked out with a fried connector, but many times control board is damaged beyond repair and must be replaced. Only on-site diagnostics will confirm, and this is a very heavy unit for most owners to safely service.  - Remember- Don't use 'self clean'!! Scrape and clean with soapy water and cloth. Turn on oven to 450deg. for 30 min. Much safer. Less costly.       Please acknowledge this post if the info is helpful- Have more if needed.  Thanks-  Ed

Model YRBS305PDQ3... After self-cleaning lost power to elements. Tested elements with an ohmmeter; top read 28 ohms and bottom read 18. Checked 30 amp fuse and its good. Controls appear to be working...

Hello,

Based on the important nugget of info you provided "after self cleaning" I`d suspect a tripped hi-limit thermostat. It should be located at the back wall of the oven. It will be a small disc shaped component with 2 wires going to it. Most of them on whirlpool are the non-reset-able style which means you`ll have to replace it. ( by memory I think it`s # 9759243 and around $25-$30 )

You can check it with your meter as well, ( **please unplug the unit or shut off the breaker when performing any of these suggestion`s** ) just open or closed is all you need to know, the ohm value won`t matter for this device. I don`t like to assume, but again based on your post I feel safe to assume here, you know if it`s in the open position it`s opening the circuit or in other word`s "tripped" from hi-temp. hence, not allowing power to the element`s.

Hope this answer`s your question. If not let me know and I`ll try to assist you further. If so, please rate the solution accordingly.

Thank`s for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

Lower elment not working

The lower element is known as the bake element. It is controlled by a bake relay on the control board. Either the relay on the control board has failed, or the element has failed. The most common fail is the element itself. The following link explains how to replace a heating element (if required):

If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement bake element is WB44T10011. You purchase replacement parts at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this help you.

Bottom oven doesn't heat after running self-clean cycle

Usually, when an oven won't heat, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

Bake Element

There should only be two wires that go to the element. It won't matter which wire goes on which terminal. Turn power off to unit before replacing the element. In some cases when the element burns out and breaks in have it will send a surge back to the oven control board and it will need to be replaced also. You will know once the element is replaced if it doesn't heat up.
