This may not be a solution, however, if you have nothing to lose, but the one song you don't want, then a reformat of the memory, or reset the device is advisable.
However if you have one song out of dozens you want to keep, that's different.
I haven't used a Sandisk music player, but a quick review online tells me that songs are added and moved by 'drag n drop' on the computer. Try moving the file to another place on the device, if it dosn't move, or it isn't recognized, then it's corrupted, it's name is there on the menu, but the file isn't completely there. This happens when a transfer to the device is interupted.
If you can move it, then try dragging it off the device to the computer while Holding the Shift Key. This changes a drag n drop from a "Copy file" to "Move File"; which is alot like deleting it from the player. The computer should be able to delete it easily enough.
Another thought is to check if there are Locking or Protect features on the device. If it does have a lock capability, then perhaps the song is protected from alteration. In this case, it would have to be unlocked.
Some things to try.
Richard.
If you only have one song, you can try to reset it. This will reset all the software on your device. If this doesn't work you can try consulting customer service.
