Re: KDS Valiant No Video at desktop (WinXP Pro)
There might be a problem with the VGA driver. while booting, repeatedly press F8 until you get the boot options (black screen with white text) with your arrow keys, you select "boot in VGA mode"
then you can easily reinstall the video driver.

it is not advisable to replace cmos bettery on your own if you are not aware of opening notebook
because each and every notebook wil lcome with its own tricky fittings
so if you dont know how to open your notebook
just go to ant technician and let them do it for you
first of all try to start your laptop in safemode
1 start laptop
2 continously press F8 key
3 when you see menyu select "start windows in safe mode"
if your computer starts with same mode and you see the desktop
then you just have to restore your xp with earlier system restore check point
and if you dont see desktop in safe mode also then you must have to install win xp again
steps for restore windows xp
4 system tools
5 system restore
6 chose restore system to earlier time
then select any earlier date in calender at which computer is working properly
and click restore
it restores your xp and restart your pc and your problem will be solved
if still having problem then you must reinstall windows xp
