Why does my toshiba e-studio 161 prints black?

The scanner unit is damaged. Check for busted exposure lamp while making scans. There should be light on the glass where you put the original copies while scanning for copies ..

How do I find the copy counter function on the E-Studio 600 copier?

If the e-Studio 600 is similar to other Toshiba models (like the e-Studio 452 or e-Studio 3510c) you can view the copy count by simply pressing the User Functions button, and it should be displayed in the lower right corner.

If you don't see it there, select Total Counter while you're in the User Functions screen, then select Print Counter.

Did that help?

Copies made are totally black. what do i do? i changed cartridged, put in new paper then copied. it copied fine after 20pages, copy sounded like it was jamming up, paper came out with some parts black....

Hello limay_uera

Please check your Printer setup. or options ( I am not familiar with this printer. what terms they use- I'm not sure) Ther will be options for Print in Color or Black. Make sure the radio button for COLOR is checked. This way, black and color both will print in the correct color. So leave it on color even when you want to print in Black. The black radio button is there for a different reason.
Hope this will help you.
