My phone won't vibrate (Sanyo Katana)

I have a Sanyo Katana- Bought it in April. Everything is fine with it, except that it has now decided not to vibrate when I get a call or text message. It started with a gradual weakening of the vibrate function, then one day it just stopped altogether. It didn't vibrate for a few months, and then one day, I had it on the coffee table and it practically "walked" off the table. Now, it will vibrate here and there, some days functioning very well, and others, barely, if at all. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

I had a similar issue, which unfortunately, today capped off with the
screens failing to work any longer. The main LCD glows a bright white
with a single pixel wide yellow line about 4 cm to the right of center.
The faceplate LCD just glows a very dull gay. I hope that your problem
will not end up like mine did, good luck friend.

i have the same problem. i tried taking the battery out and it fixed my screen.  the screen looked like it was set on the "always off" backlight setting and now it's good (knock on wood) but it still won't vibrate. can't wait to get a new phone...

I keep having that trouble, too: when I connect to the power supply, it disables the vibrate feature (probably to avoid electrical problems), but sometimes it doesn't come back when I disconnect it from the power supply. In those cases, I reconnect it, disconnect it again, and usually it works.

My Katana randomly decides to not vibrate too. I either take out the battery, or i tap/hit the back of the battery (while still in the phone) to make to vibrate again. TLC my ****, give it a good "love tap"

I have the same prob just today it stopped vibrating all together. But my phone came all messed up because it didnt have some prgramming codes in it so the sprint pace on the phone had me practactly hack the matrix of my phone. It was pretty interesting, but anyway yeah i have the same prob thinking of upgrading.

Not charging

Your battery needs to be replaced. make sure you fully charge the new one and completly drain it before charging it again. don't interupt the charging till its full that will shorten the life of your battery consiterably!

Cell phone quit vibrating

No its not normal and yes it can be fixed thou if you dont have insurance and its not a known defect (likely) you are probably better off taking it to a Sprint store and asking them to upgrade or buy a refurb. on the net.

Katana II likely water damage... Help!

Take the battery off, unfold the phone, set it in a warm, dry place and pray like heck. plugging it in may help it stay warm but leave it off.
If its minor water exposure it'll likely be fine in 2-3 days.

Katana- Submerged in water for less than 2 minutes

Dang, that is not good the keypad is waterdamaged for good. Take it into a store and have them run a diagnostic on the phone itself. As far as the incoming calls you should still be able to receive those... that is weird actually I would call in for that. Hope that helps :)
