Concept 1000 ac unit. Fan comes on but no air come into the house and the line freezes outside next to the unit. I'm lost!

Check your indoor air handler unit. If the coil is frozen, it is usually one of two problems. You are low on freon, or your filters are clogged and not allowing enough airflow over the coil.

My air handler fan does not come on, the outside unit turns on fine. Is their a way to reset the fan?

Check for fan operation by turning the fan control at the thermostat to "on". If the fan blows, it works. If not, check a circuit breaker or fuse.

If the fan blows when forcing it on with the thermostat but not in automatic, check the fan control circuit in the air handler. Danger: high voltage, beware! There should be a system wiring diagram inside the air handler somewhere.

I have a 1.5 ton air handler unit that keeps freezing. Ive blown the lines cleaned thw coils and replaced the filter.

If you have done all this then you need to have a tech come and top of the refrigerant, and if he doesn't see a leak, but you have a slow leak that happens over time it will freeze again.

Low level will cause the handler to freeze with other conditions, but it appears you have covered the rest.

Goodman/Amana air handler freezing up and not cooling home. What could be causing it?

Hi,
There are two things that cause freeze up's...

Low air flow...

Low freon...

First check the filters, the blower , and the air vents to make sure that the air handler unit can move enough air...not enough air across the coil, the coil gets too cold, ice forms....

The low freon problem will require professional assistance...
For the system to be low there needs to be a leak...the leak must be found and repaired or the fix will only be temporary...
To do this the system refrigerant must be recovered, the leak fixed and then the system vacuumed and recharged...

One other thing....outdoor air temperatures under say 65 F can also cause freezing.... but I am assuming that you are above that if you are running your A/C system.

Hi,
No you can not use a R-410 air handler with a R-22 condenser unit...the exspansion devices are different as the properties of the refrigerants are enough different that they are not interchangable...
Really your only choice is to replace the whole unit as it sounds like the exspansion valve or the orfice is partially clogged and it makes you constantly freeze up....
There are some things you could do to make it work at reduced capacity but it is way beyond what I could tell you through a computer...

Hello
Your still froze up.There is a freeze cutoff device in the air handler upstairs.
Look for a thin silver color tube near the coil and follow it to the control box, there may be a reset button. If not, try using a hair dryer to warm up the coil and it should reset itsself.
These freeze devices can take an hour to reset on there own sometimes,do not run the compressor while doing this.

Inside unit freezing

There are varius items that make the unit inside (air handler) freezes up .If the fan motor in the air handler doesn't work it'llice up.If the filter is dirty it'llfreezes up. If the coil in the air handler is dirty it will freezes up.And if the unit is low in refrigerant(freon) it'll ice up.If is low in gas means there's a leak and before recharged it needs to be fixed.
