Most latest games for PC do not support Logitech gamepads by default. There are various reasons to it, but using Logitech's Profiler software you can get your gamepad to work with any game. I help people make "profiles" for their games. All you have to do is download them, read the instructions and start playing. I ve already made one for Modern Warfare 2.... here's the download link:
Thank you for your time and attention. Can I use a Logitech Precision gamepad to play online video games? I plugged in the USB in the front of my pc tower, but I can't control the games with it. The games only respond to my keyboard. Is there something I need to do or is it that I can't use it to play online videogames? Please help.
You can start from OPTIONS in the main menu of any game and then choose CONTROLS. There if you have both the options : keyboard/gamepad, then only you can use the gamepad. Then if you have the Gamepad option there, then select it and configure/assign the gamepad keys for your game. You can do it by going onto an option; lets say ACTION and then click the Gamepad key you want to assign. Hold down that Gamepad key and double click the mouse. There you go.Your Gamepad is up and running for your game. Cheers.
I used one like that for my windows xp home PC (It looks just like the Playstation 2 controller) and it worked with MAME (original arcade games that were downloaded on my computer) It comes with a little CD that has the drivers on it...Look on ebay..they are very cheap coming from China and Hong Kong
Most games have a option menu that allows you to set in-game joystick contols. So go to option and go to joystick.. and you can most likely set your keys there. Some games have this, others do not.
same problem. my os: xp c2d
