If you're handy and patient, you can rake the water unit apart, and replace the line. Start with ancopy of the specs. Here's an example of where you can download a free copy of the document.
http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/ge_appliances/tpx24pbdcc.html?p=31

I suggest you make it a habit of taking pictures of your work progress. It will help when you're putting it back together.

Good luck.

SOURCE: water dispenser line leaking at bottom of freezer

if you have enough room left you can just cut out the hole and go to any hardware store and pick up a water line coupler and repair it....if it is too short or broke up inside the door then you need to remove the water/ice dispenser and pull the line through and run the new one down the track.

Have a Kenmore Coldspot model 106.54592400 with brittle water lines throughout need replacement.

If your appliance is displaying an error code that flashes "H" and "F" repeatedly, it may indicate a problem with the temperature or humidity in the appliance. This could be caused by a malfunctioning sensor or a problem with the control board.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:
  1. Check the door seals to ensure that they are clean and in good condition.
  2. Make sure that the appliance is level and that there is sufficient ventilation.
  3. Check the temperature and humidity settings to ensure that they are set correctly.
  4. If the problem persists, it is best to have the appliance checked by a professional. They will be able to diagnose the problem and suggest the appropriate repairs.
It is important to note that this is just a general guide and the specific cause of the error code may vary depending on the make and model of your appliance. Be sure to refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer for specific troubleshooting steps.

Water dispenser does not work, any time it is used water just drains out of bottom of freezer area onto floor. Ice cubes works

Hello Melissa;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

I am sorry to say you have a serious problem.

The water supply line to your ice maker runs up the back of your refrigerator from the ice maker solenoid. It is a separate water supply line.

Your water dispenser water line runs from the water dispenser solenoid under your unit and up from the bottom of you freeze door.

You have a plastic tubing leak within your freezer door. Calling a service company to replace the freezer door tubing - a good service technician would not replace the tubing - the damage has already been done.

The insulating material in your freezer door is soaked. The water in the door will cause the door liner to expand and crack. There is no way to completely dry out the insulating material.
The only fix is to replace the freezer door. So, $300.00+ for the door and $150.00+ for the service tech. No, a hair dryer will not do it.

May I suggest:
1.) Remove the bottom toe plate (Kicker plate) in the front of your refrigerator.
2.) Turn the leveling screws counter clockwise so you can pull the refrigerator out to get behind it.
3.) Unplug the unit.
4.) Remove the screws from the bottom cover.
5.) There are two connectors to the solenoid valve to the water dispenser. It is the larger diameter tubing running under your refrigerator.
This will disable your water dispenser. If you see cracks on the inside of your freezer door, seal them with a high temperature silicone adhesive.

If you elect to purchase a new unit, check out Sears Outlet (Scratch & Dent) Stores.

Internal waterline broke

i would need a model number because in most cases if the water line broke in the door, you would have to replace the whole door assembly.

How do I replace the water line going to the water valve assembly

That sounds favourite! Let me know how you get on. Is the tubing you have left long enough? And has it gone brittle? In which case it might be a good idea to replace it at the same time as the valve

The water that squirt on my windshild the thing the water come out of i need to replace the line is good just the sprayer is broken i need to replace it

You can go to any good auto place like auto zone and by a universal kit to replace the sprayer. Sometimes the plastic get brittle after being in the sun for so long and they break.

Water dispenser hose broken

Hi;
you would have to remove the door(and front kick panel) turn water & power supply off first. Unclip water lines and electrical connector on top of fridge. You will require food grade water pipe 6-8mm, this will slide thru the hole, have patients when doing this
