Try using a bit of wet food on top of the dry food. I started my puppy out with Beneful (lamb stew with rice) and she loved it. Just don't get anything really chunky or it might choke your puppy. Depending on how old your puppy is, you could get 2 to 4 uses out of the little tub. Just warm it up after refrigeration but check it for temperature before feeding it to your pup.

Add a little water to her food to soften it, but don't let it get soggy.

My dog will eat our food but will not eat his , he is being given wainrights he just wants our food

A dog can go without food for a few days and then will eat when it is hungry. Just stop giving your dog your food and at its normal feeding time give it a bowl of its food. If it does not eat it, take the food away. Then 24 hours later put the bowl of food out for the dog. If it has not eaten it within ten minutes take it away and then 24 hours later put the bowl of food out for the dog again. By now the dog should be happy to eat what it is given.

Problems with dogs eating cat food

The following is advice from the ASPCA
Cat food is higher in protein and fat, which may make it very palatable to dogs, but if you continue to feed your dog only cat food, over time you'll begin to see nutritional imbalances. It's also possible to see gastrointestinal issues, such as vomiting and diarrhea, in dogs who continually eat cat food.

Mother chihuahua has had puppies by c section 2 days ago but she wont eat anything. What to do olease

well i have delt with dogs giving birth and having to hand feed the puppies my self , and out of experiance one the mother gives birth they probably will refuse to eat or even leave the area with their puppies, so all you can do is have a bowl of food near by along with a bowl of water she will get up eventually , as long as she is feeding her babies you do not have a problem ,if the problem persits then phiscally take the bowl to her and see if she will eat , but honestly do not worry they will eat and usally when no ones around thats because natrual instints of a mother they will pertect their young and everyones a treat so they will not leave unless they feel safe and usally only for a second, dogs are funny that way , they will not even go to do their nesesities . so do not worry after a week you will see her go back to normal and leaving her puppies to eat and do her nessesities .

Feeding Guide for Puppiesimage-6184359-10573654

Newborn Puppies grow so many times faster than adult dogs and a healthy puppy can burn twice calories compared with an adult dog, so it is more important to provide them complete nutrition to fulfil their energy requirements.
