For unlock the JVC Cd Disc You only have to put Your Machine in OFF mode and press at the same time the STOP and the EJECT bottoms. For lock the CD player again You have to do the same process but with the machine in ON Position.
Your JVC CD player has some mechanical trouble. It does not load CDs fully into the tray. Either tray loading motor or its belt iis faulty. Replace the belt first and see it helps you. If not replace the loading motro. For both, you have to open and disassemble your CD player. If you are able to do it, and have confidence, proceed. OK

I just had the same problem with the same model. Disc five was saying no disc and would not play any other discs. I opened the radio and found the the CD tray was missing a piece for disc five. You have to put the disc tray back into the holder to fix it. Make sure it locks in place and you should be able to get the rest to work.
Even you don"t have a remote you can play it manually and DVD player play it automatically.Just try this open the tray put the DVD disc on the tray and close it then turn it off for 30 seconds then turns it on then it play automatically if not then there's something wrong to the player.
On the unit, press the stop button and the cd eject button at the same time. The screen will say locked still. Release them and press them together again at the same time. The screen will now read unlocked. You can then eject the cd.
