I own a Kitchenaid KEBS208SSS double convection oven. The upper oven does not heat up. The bottom oven works perfectly. Thanks, Chaz

Hello,
You need to pull the oven out and see if you are getting 240 volts to the bake element (take the back panel off, press bake and start and put your meter lids on each prone of the bake element).
If you do get 240 volts to the bake element then the element is defective. If you don't get 240 volts then you may be looking at a faulty relay board.

Oven turns on starts to heat then shuts off, no error code given just sais fault

Sounds like your control board is failing. I would suggest having it fixed before the damage becomes beyond repair. Many companies like to discontinue their parts in 3 years or less so if the control board becomes non-repairable you might be stuck buying a new oven. Therepairshack.com offers a repair service for whirlpool control boards. Do you have a model number? I can check to see if there is a replacement available also.

Smoking near top heating element upon initial operation

Some oil of some kind must've been on the heating element. No worries.

Ykemc308kmo oven fan noise

You are probably correct the cooling fan can wear out. You will have to order it by model number. They are a bit tricky to install depending on the oven, but not hard once you get to the fan area. Somke are behing the cabinet and you will have to puul the oven out and some are in the control panel area.

Hi I have a Tappan oven model TGF357CCSF. The clock display andtemperature display is working but it is very dim. I have been told the I need a control panel 316028350 which is no longer available is this...

Hey - That part is available thru AppliancePartsPros online listing is clock/timer.  Part # AP2125110     $203.75   These timers are old-timers anymore. Can be hard to find, and at 200 bucks, make ya think twice. Gas model is probably worth it though.  Either way- it's an electronic clock that has had 120v running through it for 20 yrs or so. Time to replace for sure. Let me know if this info helps-  have more if needed-  Thanks--Ed

Ovens won't heat up beyond 250 degrees.

if you cant program it for more than the 270 you may have changed it from farienhiet ( bad spelling) to celcius. pushing and holding broil may switch it back.
