Question about Stihl Concrete Cutoff Chop Saw Clutch Ts400 Ts 400

No fuel to spark plug stihl ts400

New plug,valve,good spark but plug is almost dry when pulled is this just a blockage or is it the carb?

Could be fuel pipe bent/hole in fuel pipe or yes could be carb

sounds like the diaphragm in the carby is shot, Ebay sells new complete carbies for $76. Also check needle and seat, by pulling off carby and blowing in the fuel inlet while the cover plate is off. push up and down on the needle and seat, air should go through when you have it open. Good luck

Try and see if it will start with a tiny amount of fuel poured into the block. If it fires then it could be the gaskets on the carb need replacing or it could be a blocked air filter. Check the later first.

You did not indicate whether or not you have compression now that you have changed out the gaskets and piston rings. If not, it seems to me that the problem could be a) cracked head or block, b) bad valve(s) or even c) a warped head.

if you have spark and fuel then id be looking at lack of compression.. damaged piston ring or damaged crank seal/gasket

Check the boot between the carb and the cylinder, it could be an air leak. also check the compression. If the piston rings are damaged then it wont have the compression to pull the fuel through. Could also be a damaged fuel line, or plugged filter.

Rebuilt a Stihl TS400 concrete saw, and now it wont cut, the engine dies down and has no power but revs up? Ive tried everything!

All these people are missing a basic thing: check the compression. If you did all thus work yourself, you may have reused the head gasket or not installed the new one correctly. It will run with no load, but once force in exerted, the pressure finds the leak and exploits it. There is a reason 2-cycle engines run at 130-160 psi normally.
