Yx545 worked well for a week now light stays green no signal

Usually a ground problem - - the lights that are on are grounding thru the cluster.

the problem sounds like it is how the starter works. It starts and afte a few seconds it does a system check to see if the car started and if works right it will continue to leave the car on and if not it trys 2 more times to start and stay on. Most techs use voltage sense or a virtual tach signal to do the system check. I have found that the best way to have the starter work and stay on is by hooking up the tach signal and making sure the options are set for system check ON and Tach signal check on.

You need to go to a phone shop that stocks 3G sims. Get a $10 sim (a blank free one probably will not work). You didn't say whether you were on a pre-paid sim or a plan. Anyway call 3G and ask them activate it. Get the number off the sim before you ring them. They will need U to quote that. hope it helps :o)

you can try to change the network settings.

put it in GSM Mode.. not 3G.

or change your band.
