If it’s an outlook account. Microsoft are a pain for this. Basically in a nit shell they allow you to open an email account but then put a temp block on it for you to prove your human and your dog didn’t open the account instead....it’s seriously idiotic.

The best way to get around it I found was normally they want to be nosy. They want some kind of info from you (that they will never need) like your phone number to certify the account. In other words blackmail you.

Normally you need a backup email to open a new email account with outlook. So if you entered one. Log into that account and look for any mail sent from Microsoft when the other account was opened. Something like “account activation” click this link to activate blah blah....if there’s no mail.

Log out. Then tap forgot password or forgot email address. This should 1 allow you to use your backup email to get access to this account you want into. And 2 reset your password. It’s also worth noting (the obvious) make sure your password is entered correctly. For example any upper case letters are entered the same way you did it when you opened the account.

I know it’s a pain I don’t use outlook anymore. At least when Hotmail was live it worked. They just ruin everything. If something works they can’t just leave it alone. For what it’s worth I hope this is of some help

Feroza. Loosing a password is as bad as loosing the only key to your front door. Loosing equals forgotten. Facebook has a lot of ways to recover your account, but you should have left at least one email account where you still have access to, before you last connected to FB.
They even can send a reset pass word code to one of the first e-mail addresses you used to verify you were a real person and not a bot. Remember you had to open a mail and send back a number, or click a link while setting up your account.
I'm not sure you tried to get help from Facebook, but if not, go to this page and see if anything fits your situation, to recover your account.

click on account, should be a help menu, in that a frequently asked question will take you to the delete option, after you pick delete or cancel it will take 48 hrs before it goes thru

Hi there, I've been experiencing the same issue with Facebook. Here's what you can do. instead of chatting through the chatbox, hit MESSAGES then use it instead on chat box. You can chat from there as long as your friend is online. Maybe there is a bug on Facebook.

May just be a glich, give it time. Otherwise, try emailing or calling Facebook.

Under the password box on facebook.com, there is a link that says 'forgot your password?' Click that and it will email you your password.

Fro my research on your topic it seems a lot of people have had the same problem. I also read that Facebook took this feature option away.
