What do you mean "no start"?
Did you hear the starter-motor spin the engine?
If so, did it not ignite the fuel, and start the normal operation (pistons going up-and-down, crankshaft-turning, fuel being consumed)?
Or, did it not "catch" (spin the crankshaft, but no ignition of the fuel)?

Did you create an air-lock (air trapped inside the gasoline line that goes from the gas-tank to the fuel-injection system) ?
You may need to "bleed" all the air out of that line, so that fuel reaches the engine.

98 Chevy Blazer 6 cylinder. Just replaced timing chain, ran good for 30min. died in middle of road. Towed it back and opened it up again, timing chain was fine. Put it back together and started it up, ran...

This sounds like a fuel starvation issue.
Is the engine running smoothly? Have you checked the injectors? What warning lights are on the dashboard?
Running the engine at idle, put some injector cleaner through the system. The only other reason could be a faulty engine sensor of some kind.

Jumped the battery after car sat for awhile then

If you dont use the car it still use the battery so sounds like you need do slow trikle charge on the battrie. If that dosent work you might killed the battrie off. i dont this many time if not use it die fast.
