The thermostat is a variable rotation type. turning it in one direction varies a gap on a set of contacts mounted on the inside of the front panel. take the heater apart by taking out the four screws in back. the front panel should come off and you'll see the thermostat contacts. rotate the knob and see what the contacts do. if they make up, your element might be shot.

Honeywell portable heater HCE322V manual

Honeywell has the manual for the HCE322V ceramic tower heater on the product page: http://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/digital-ceramic-tower-heater-hce322v.htm . Click on the Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is http://www.honeywellstore.com/store/images/pdf/HCE311-HCE322-HCE323-honeywell-heater-manual.pdf .

I hope this helps. Note: the manual covers a few different models. You should ignore any section about the HCE323; that model has a remote and a few other extras.

Not heating up... what could be problem....some simple i hope

How about a free replacement heater?

There has been a recall since 2002 on some Honeywell portable baseboard heaters. Check this link, or call Honeywell ASAP. The ON/OFF switch failed (with a burning plastic odor) on my HZ-514.

http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2002/CPSC-Honeywell-Consumer-Products-Announce-Recall-of-Moveable-Baseboard-Heaters/

"Consumers should stop using these heaters immediately, unplug them, and contact HCP at (800) 290-8495 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET Monday through Sunday or log on to the company's website at www.honeywell.com to determine whether their heater is part of the recall."

I hope this is a solution for you, and you are safely warm again in the near future.http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2002/CPSC-Honeywell-Consumer-Products-Announce-Recall-of-Moveable-Baseboard-Heaters/ not-heating-up-could-problem-some-gwybjxudtwjfkyidrgix5fxs-4-0.jpg

WONT HEAT. BLOWER COMES ON BUT NO HEAT. IT HAS NO

I'm assuming that this is a portable heater. If not let me know. If it is it sounds like the heating coil is bad or the relay which turns on the heat is not working. TU probably means turn up the thermostat. I guess you could try that but it seems pretty obvious. Let me know how you make out.
