This error often comes when there an paper jam or paper tray 1 or paper tray 2 or 3 is empty,make sure that you have enough paper in the trays and secondly make sure that you have there is no paper jam in paper roller, even an tiny particle of paper can cause this error.

Please open all the access of your printer pull out all the paper trays and clean it properly with air blower, this can fix this error.

How do i solve fatal error 980

i got that error on the first day i got my oki c5950 it was a result of a paper jam in the fuser unit, i removed the jamed paper but the error was still there, i contacted oki support and got a detailed explanation on how to fix this error with a patch file, so if u or anyone out there r still having that problem send me a mail on [email protected] and i will forward u the info.

I have a oki 9600 Fatal error 917

Replace the transfer belt unit. A 917 is a belt **** sensor error.

Oki c5200 fatal error 121

We had a similar problem with an Oki C7300. It was reading "Fatal Error 121" on the display.

We fixed it by simply unplugging the printer from a surge strip and plugging it into the wall directly. After that, the error went away and has not come back.

Fatal error 980 OKI C5500 printer

I had a paper jam and removed the jammed papers. The paper jam cleared and then the Fatal Error 980 appeared. OKI C5500 printer

SERVICE CALL 188 : FATAL ERROR

Service Call 188: Error: Sub-CPU Communication Error
1- Check the connection of the S2M board.
2- Replace the S2M board.

If the problem does not go away after a reboot you'd better call Oki (it should have a 3 yr. waranty) or an experienced oki technician.
This is not something you should want to fix yourself. The replacement of the s2m board is not an easy task (even for an experienced mechanic)

Error 020 is a ROM dimm error, could be as simple as reseating/replacing Rom Dimm or a expensive main PCB, you need to get hold of a oki dealer, contact oki to find closest OKI repair agent.
