Since moved house dell pc not working, you can hear the pc running but no lights on keyboard, monitor screen says "In power save mode press any key on keyboard or move mouse" tryed pressing buttons but nothing, scrren stays there, tryed my monitor on freinds pc and works fine, so then tryed freinds flat panel monitor on my pc and scrren says " No video input" & thn tryed another crt monitor but just blank scrren with that?

Dell monitor goes into power-save mode by changing your display

if your problem is you cannot wake from power saving mode (after your PC goes to sleep, then its probably just the driver for your video card). VISTA has some issues with certain drivers that the PC cannot wake from sleep
The monitor is not receiving signal from the computer. Is the power light on on the computer? If so - press and hold power button on computer until the power light goes off, then press again to restart. If the computer starts and you still have no picture it is most likely a video card or motherboard problem.
If you did not hear any beep from your CPU, then the problem is in the system not the screen. Try connecting the screen to another computer and try also a working screen of a friend to your computer... You'll find out that either the screen or the computer...
