try to format the cell phone and get a virus check done through any good anti-virus and if it still does not work then please update your software.

once anything is deleted from a phone there is no recovering. it uses flash memory so when it is deleted its overwritten with 0's. there is no recovering it. sorry

Hope you had changed your SIM card. Most of the latest hand-set can't deleted It can't be deleted just keep for few days It'll be deleted after some few days when your out going call or incoming call increases.

Some phones have an option in the settings menu to wipe the phone. If you havent already checked for that that is a good place to start. But bottom line is it's hard to make it impossible to recover the data. But you can make it very difficult by writing over the old data on the phone (which is what the wipe phone option would do).
