I just spoke to GE about this, NO, they DONT have decals, instead they want you to replace the whole Cooktop piece for $300 +...
Am so annoyed.
All my neighbors who have the same appliances put in by the builder are having the same issues. It's a GE problem.

This is obviously a GE problem , i live in a neighborhood of recently constructed homes, all of which have the same GE appliances, and all my neighbors are having the same issues.

you can oder/buy the range top!! i have a unit that is similar to your's and the top when i replaced it cost me around $240 you cna order it from online or from sears

how do i change the burners on eletric cooktops

The model number comes back as no good, please check the model number again. I believe there should be more numbers

Unplug first! Find the screws that hold the cooktop to the range. Usually in the front just above the oven door when it is closed on the underside. This should release the cooktop. The burners and wiring may have to be removed. You can order the part at sears.com.
