Sprint V3M Short Battery Life / Won't Turn on

I have a V3M phone from Sprint and the battery life is very very short - I will charge it at night, take it to work and make maybe 3 short calls, and it shuts off. I can turn it on, and the Moto emblem appears for about 2 seconds, and the keypad lights up and then it shuts off immediately. Just before it does this I still have 1 bar left in my battery indicator. I have taken the battery out to let the phone reset without any luck. There was no low battery indicator before this happened.

Help!!!

Fully charged battery only lasts 3 hours before it runs dead. New battery does the same thing. Blue tooth is turned off. Put the phone on Sprint towers only and still have the same problem.

I removed the micro SD memory card from the phone and that has fixed the problem with the battery running down quickly. The back of the phone used to heat up prior to that so it appears the memory card was shorting out in the phone. Thanks for the suggestion. I was getting ready to throw the phone away.

Make sure that you did not bend the pins installing the sd micro memory card. Its very easy to do and it will short to ground decreasing battery life significantly.

I charge my eris all night and only gets 40% life

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

I put my Droid Razr on charger but battery symbol comes on with ? mark. Won't charge or turn on.

1. Turn off your phone when it's not in use. If you're not using your Verizon Wireless Razr, then shut it off. Your battery will last much longer if you regularly do this.
2. Charge your phone less. If you charge your Razr nightly, then your cell phone battery won't last long. Try to charge your phone only a few times a week to extend the battery life.
3. Keep your Bluetooth turned off when you're not using it. Applications, like Bluetooth, are notorious for sucking the power from a cell phone battery.
4. Protect your Razr from extreme temperatures. Your cell phone battery lasts longer if kept at room temperature.
5. Discharge the Razr fully. Before you charge your phone, let it completely die. You can extend the life of the battery by regularly discharging and then fully charging it.
6. Leave the battery in the phone. Keep the Razr battery dry and free of dirt to prolong its life.

Short battery life

$orry, theres no fix to this, after a while batterys begin to die and the life becomes shorter. this could be due to leaving it on charge all day and night and not letting it frequently loose and gain charge again. even my laptop battery has began to lose its battery length - but ive had my battery for a long time. purchase a new battery and try to keep from leaving the A/C adapter in over night. you should notice alot longer battery length after that. rate me :)

Motorola razr v3m battery problems and bootloader ini showing on screen

Well it is both. It should only ever say bootloader when it is plugged in to a PST machine and getting the software updated. I would say that it the hardware is causing the poor battery life or a combo of the battery and the phone.

SD Card causing problems?

The V3m has an inherent flaw with the Sd Micro Memory Card. Installing the card, which fits extremely tight can damage the electrical contacts in the micro chip socket. This can result in low battery life due to a short to metal chassis of phone and not being able to communicate properly with memory chip. I had my first Razr V3m replaced by Sprint after only 2 days of ownership. When I got my new phone I carefully filed the tab on the Sd Micro Chip so insertion and extraction is much easier.
