This appears that the camera might be taking to high quality photos. In this case look in the camera settings and see if you can turn down the resolution of the camera. Another thing is that T-mobile may not allow you to send pictures in txt messages. You can contact there support at: http://support.t-mobile.com/welcome . Last resort is to contact Alcatel's support: http://www.alcatelonetouch.com/global-en/support/download.html . If you need any more help or clarification just let me know!

SOURCE: I can't send pic/video messages
As of February the LG Rumour will be one of the phones MTS/Sprint's new operating system will not cover for Video/Picture Messaging. Even though it's never worked for me since I got the phone, now they are completely making it impossible for you to use that feature. My question is why are they advertising that feature then?
Delete messages in sent items. It should work now..... If not make sure that message centr no. is the right one. Contact customer care if u dont know message centr no. If problem persists, use some other handset and try sending message. If message sending fails in other handsets too then priblem is related to SIM or network.Complain to the customer care.Wait for their response. If the network is OK,then the last option is to apply for replacement with a new SIM .!!!

I am not familiar with Alcatel mobiles but I can help you find out the cause of the problem. This issue is another very common with many mobile users, and there are two main cause, 1. Message (sms) center and 2. Service(Network) Operator.
To fix the first one, you have to check the message center number, I hope you have another sim card with the same network. If you don't have, simply insert the sim card (your daughter's) on another mobile and try sending a message, how is it? If Yes, follow the next para, if No, then skip the next para..
After it's verified that there's no issue sending message from another handset with the same sim card, find out the message settings and locate the message center [should be inside the message > message settings > text message > message settings] and note down the message center number. After it's done, remove the sim card and insert it on the other (your daughter's) mobile, find and locate the message center number and compare with the one you've noted down (including the code before the 10 digit number) then replace with the one you've got from the other phone (exactly as it's shown on the other phone), save it and try sending text message again. It should work now.
If it's 'No' then call the customer care of the Network Operator and ask them to fix it. Must be from their side, simply the feature can be disabled or enabled by them. They'll let you know the current status of the sim card regarding text message.
Honestly I apologize that I can't give you the exact sequence to get into the message settings and to the message center, but I hope at least you'll be able to understand my instructions.
If you need further help, let me know.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
