Cartridge is fine, the label come out blank - Brother BRTPT65 PT-65 Label Maker Printer

take all cartridges out shut off then turn on make surethere is no obstructions where cartridges go replace them one at a time i found a piece of tape on mine would not print black and white removed it now it is fine

To isolate problem run a test label from printer.Does the same thing happen? If so it is a printer problem.If not the problem is in the document itself.

It may be that it is only out of ink

1st of all did you check and made sure the cartridge is working fine?

If not try to take the cartridge our of the printer and inspect if the tape is cut, if found to be cut replace it imdly. Take help of the user manual for replacement of the cartridge etc.,

It sounds like they are in backwards or on the wrong side of the thermal printhead.

It was the batteries. I bought new ones and it works now. Good advice. Thanks.

To solve the printing problem..


# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

You may buy cartriges of different producers.
Depending on producer on them can be or be not special yellow detachable labels.
These are an yellow labels must be removed from them. Then put cartridges back. And try to clean head 4-5 times. And check nozzle test.

I just sprayed windex on bottom of cartridge several times and wiped with paper towel until dark streak of black appeared. Then I dried off cartridge and replaced. It works now. Must have been clogged.

I am having the same problem! Printing blank labels. Don't know what's wrong now. It was working fine yesterday.
