More than likely there is no fuse mabey a loose wire or bad switch. I would pull the guts out of the case and check the wiring also a good time to clean the inside of the coil and other hard to reach parts

SOURCE: Danby DAC5020 Air Conditioner fan works but not compressor

It could be as simple as being low on refrigerant. Depends on how expensive the unit is if its worth recharging and how big the unit is. Some small units will need to have a recharge point fitted which cost more of course.

SOURCE: MY 2YEAR OLD WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER WON'T POWER ON

Apparently the gfci on the plug (the reset button) has gone bad. The best thing to do is to purchase a new cord and replace it. These switches sometimes go bad. Good Luck

SOURCE: Hi, My remote won't work

Here is the main ONLINE SUPPORT page for your LG model LST 244H-2:

http://www.lg.com/au/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=LST244H-2&matchedModelCode=NOT_MATCHED&searchEngineModelCode=LST244H-2&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile

And here is a telephone number for LG Technical Support since they don't have a USER'S MANUAL for that exact model available online at that site:

1300 54 2273

However here is a link to the support page with a link to a user's manual for the LST 244-T2 model which is very similar:

http://www.lg.com/au/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=LST244T-2&matchedModelCode=NOT_MATCHED&searchEngineModelCode=LST244T-2&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile#

Direct link to LST 244-T2 USER'S MANUAL

http://biz.lgservice.com/gcsc/dwn/main

To view the Owner's Manual / Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information in the operating manual.

You may need a DJVU READER on your computer to read the documents.
You can download it from the above SUPPORT page if necessary.

If this is the same model then apparently it can be controlled by a telephone connection by calling into the unit but only if the feature is already enabled (by the remote of course haha).

See pages 5 and 15 and 16 of the 244-T2's ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for details.
If it's not the same as the T2 model, then I have seen nothing else in the manual to indicate that it can be manually controlled without the remote control.

Perhaps you could program one of the really advanced (read expensive) universal remote controls to operate at least some basic functions for it but I could not confirm that.

Best chance might be to search EBay for a replacement remote control. You might get lucky and find one cheap.

Here is a link to just one I found but I have no idea if it is the correct model, so you would have to contact the seller and see what model it was from:

Thank you very much.

P.S.------Check out this link, you might be eligible for a $170 cash rebate from LG if you bought this product new, though I think it might be a bit too late anyway.

Where can in get a set of exhaust/intake hoses for a danby dpac120068 air conditioner

Is there a reason not to just go to the Danby site? Support Danby includes phone support, email and "Find Parts" Even if their source is out you should at least be able to find the correct part number, then Google Danby (part number).
You could also look to see if generic flexible vinyl tubing/hose can be substituted. It's doubtful that Danby created their own hoses.

I have a Danby 10011E air conditioner and I am trying to figure out the controls. I need to find out how to use the fan only or how to dry out the unit as it is dripping inside

Google that model number with "manual" to try to locate a owner manual that shows how to operate it--Also if can find the site (website) for the maker visit that.

The model number you listed didn't come up for Kenmore. However, the similar Danby model's Owner's Manual may help you. You can download and print it for future reference.

Danby PORTABLE Air Conditioner model DPAC10071 is leaking water from bottom base. The unit is 2 weeks old.

The base needs to be dumped regularly. The air conditioner sweats water during operation and the pan collects it. Your manual should give you the procedure on how this is done. In some cases there is a hose attached to the drain pan so that you can direct the drainage to a more conventional drain location.
