PS3 BD remote is Bluetooth, not infra red. Bluetooth and Infra red are two different ways of transmitting signals. They are not cross-compatible. So there's no code to allow a PS3 BD remote to operate any Infra red device becuase the PS3 BD remote does not issue IR commands.

When you set your main installation to player 2, you should also set the remote control to player 2. By that they match again.

hi , To check wether the remote is outputting a infra red signal when a button is pressed try viewing the little LED at the top of the remote through your mobile phones camera , these little cameras pick up a fuller spectrum of light and you should see if flickering. IF you dont then check the batterys/. then the connectors for acid errosion from previous leaking batterys./pull the remote apart and with a pencil rubber clean the contacts on the surface of the circuit board/.The rubber membrain that has the buttons on wash it with warm soapy water , dry thouroughly.last test --go to mapplins and buy a replacement infra red led and change that? , see haow you go whith these tips and report back
